I was curious to see what my mini handpans would be like as mutants. I was also curious if the impeded A5 could be tuned on the mutant area, just like F#5 could be on a standard size. So I went ahead and designed a 12 note A Celtic mutant, but switched up the layout so that the A5 would land on the "forehead" in order to avoid the impedance. It worked! Not only is the A5 unimpeded, but the switched up layout is a fun little twist that keeps me on my toes while playing this versatile little handp
